Privacy policy

Last updated 29 July 2026. This is a static website. It is deliberately built so that there is almost nothing to tell you here.

What we collect

Nothing directly. Solar Backup Lab has no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no newsletter sign-up and no contact form. We do not ask you for personal information, so we do not hold any.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics — no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels, no third-party fonts or scripts. Every page loads from this domain only.

Server logs

Our web host records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, referring page and browser user-agent. This is ordinary web-server operation, used for security and diagnosing faults. Logs are retained on a short rolling window and are not used to build a profile of you, not combined with any other data, and not sold or shared.

When you click an affiliate link

Affiliate links take you to a third-party retailer, principally Amazon. Once you leave this site you are subject to that retailer's privacy policy, not ours. Amazon typically sets a cookie identifying us as the referrer so any resulting purchase is credited to us. We never see your identity, your basket, or your payment details — only aggregate, anonymised commission reporting.

Amazon's privacy notice: amazon.com privacy notice.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or erase. If you believe otherwise, or you want your IP address removed from our host's access logs, contact us and we will deal with it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes — for instance if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not add tracking silently.
